As a Kananaskis elopement photographer, I not only get to plan and photograph amazing weddings for clients, but I also get to shoot quite a few mountain anniversary and post wedding adventure sessions. My motto is to always take the photos! For every occasion that is important to you. Below are a few reasons why I think that anniversary photo sessions are amazing!
Setting aside some time for just you and your partner where you get to run around the mountains, pop champagne, cuddle, and just “be” the two of you again is so powerful. It’s the ultimate date night. Especially if the last couple years has been focused on raising a kid, it’s so nice to have some time for just the two of you to remember your wedding day and make some new memories.
There are no limits when it comes to wedding photos. Even if you already had your dream wedding surrounded by family and friends, you can also get the mountain elopement photos of your dreams. You can just do whatever feels right and not be constrained by any of the logistics of planning an actual wedding.
Many people use these anniversary sessions to renew vows to each other. You can re-read the vows from your wedding or write entirely new ones for each other. This is such a special way to connect again.
You picked the dress of your dreams for your wedding so how fun to get to wear it again (and fall in love with it all over again!). Now, that’s a dress that’s living its best life.
Kayla and Phil got married in Palm Springs and for their 2nd anniversary, they decided that they would put their wedding clothes back on and go hiking in Kananaskis during larch season to celebrate. Kayla had always wanted mountain wedding photos and I was thrilled to come along and some document this for them!
We planned a weekday sunset hike around Ptarmigan Cirque in Kananaskis to ensure that we would have some privacy on the trail. I don’t think we even saw one other party that night! In true Kananaskis fashion, we were treated to some sunshine, some snow, and all of the beauty.

Let me help craft an intentional and stress-free wedding experience while I document the story of your day.
