Everyone deserves the day of their dreams when they choose to commit their lives to one another. It should be stress free, represent exactly who you are, and be something to remember forever. I want to help you with that.
I have spent the last 10 years exploring Alberta's backcountry and when you hire me, you get access to my knowledge of all the hidden gems around Alberta. We will work together to find the perfect location for your day, away from all the crowds. You can also rest easy knowing that I bring the same level of preparedness and safety to my couples' adventures as I do with my own family.
So whether you also want a camping elopement full of love and stars or if having a picnic along a river in the peak of wildflower season is more your style, I am here for you. Even if you really don’t know what you want at this point, that’s okay, I am here to help figure everything out.

I truly believe elopements are the best way to get married! How do I know that? Because I did it. My husband and I ditched tradition and expectation and got legally married in front of our Christmas tree late one evening in December of 2018. We then had a backcountry camping elopement in Kananaskis in the summer of 2019 with some close friends and family (and our dogs, obv). It was everything we dreamed of- intimate, intentional, relaxed, full of happy tears, laughs, and adventure.

We were so lucky to have her with us on our wedding day and capture photos we will cherish forever. We had sneak peeks to look at the day after the wedding, and our entire album within just a few weeks. my step by step process
You fill out the form on my contact page and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can (usually within 24 hours). We will then find a time that works to have a video call or meet up for coffee to get to know each other more and talk about your day.
INQUIRE
Once you’ve decided on a date and a general location, I will send you an invoice and a contract. You pay the $1000 retainer fee and e-sign the contract and then you’re officially booked!
PICK YOUR DATE
I’ll send you my 100+ page How to Elope Guide and a questionnaire to get us started. Once we have an idea on what you want your day to look like, I’ll send you custom location suggestions. From there, you will pick a location and then I’ll help you find vendors, assist with permits, brainstorm activities, build a timeline, and anything else you need. I’ll even send a packing checklist to make it as easy as possible for you.

Your day comes and we will have the adventure of a lifetime. It will be fun, laid back, and we will be present, just soaking it all in. I will capture it all, from the intimate candid moments to the epic landscapes.
Live your dream elopement!
Waiting for photos is the worst so I’ll send you over some sneak peeks within 1 week of your day. The rest of your gallery will be edited and delivered within 4-6 weeks of your day to share, download, and print.

Dom's talent really speaks for itself. My husband and I decided to elope in Banff and were hoping to come home with a few photos that we liked. We ended up with hundreds that we love. Is it hard to get married in Alberta if we are from out of country?
An elopement is a non-traditional and intentional way to get married. This can really mean whatever you want it to. The focus will be completely on you and your partner and you will spend the day doing what you love together. Every couple is unique, so every elopement will be unique.

Is it hard to get married in Alberta if we are from out of country?
Absolutely not! There are so many beautiful locations in the Rockies here that don’t require any hiking. If you don’t want to spend all day hiking, we could spend all day fishing, picnicking, or meandering. The options are endless and the most important thing is that you craft a day that is true to you.

Is it hard to get married in Alberta if we are from out of country?
As soon as you can! I open my bookings in January for the following year and have a limited number of elopements and intimate weddings I take on for each year. That being said, I’ve booked elopements as little as two weeks out, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re planning a last minute event! I would love to help you plan and capture the day.

Nope! I am here to help you through the entire planning process so reach out as soon as you have an inkling that you want to elope. My process helps you select the perfect location and I also help craft timelines so this is really a team effort. All I ask is that we decide on a date and approximate location (ie. Banff National Park) before you’re officially booked in.

Is it hard to get married in Alberta if we are from out of country?
No all day photoshoots here! Your day will be full of the activities that you like doing together and I will be a fly on the wall for those moments, quietly documenting the moments that the two of you are sharing. And please don’t worry about being awkward - everyone says this and I can assure you that you will feel comfortable. My process involves a lot of us getting to know each other so that you both have the space to be completely yourselves and in the moment.

Of course! Your elopement day is yours, so you can chose to have it however you would like. Sometimes couples will start the day with a sunrise hike to exchange private vows and then meet up with guests after for the ceremony. There are a ton of different ways you can include loved ones and I'm happy to chat more about what this could look like for you.
