This Jasper Park lodge elopement was such a sweet and intimate day! These two came to me with a pretty loose idea of what they wanted for their day – they wanted to be in Jasper, get to some red chairs, and end the day in the water together. That sounded amazing to me, I couldn’t wait to start helping their vision come to life!
We started off their day with a ceremony at the Jasper Park Lodge, where they had two friends join them to be their witnesses. After their ceremony, they jumped in one of the canoes provided by the Lodge and paddled around the lake together! What a way to start a marriage! After a quick bite, the three of us headed out to Pyramid Island for a couple of photos. Being that this was on the Sunday of a long weekend, it actually wasn’t that busy, which was nice!
In National Parks in Canada, there are red chairs placed in places to “Connect with nature in the country’s most unique and treasured places. Whether it’s a place to rest after a leisurely stroll or to cheer your successful completion of a strenuous hike, our red chairs offer a place to slow down, to relax and to truly discover the best that Parks Canada has to offer.” Matthew and Regina had visited some red chairs on a previous trip to Jasper National Park and so they knew that they had to include them in their elopement day. I found a couple chairs that were a quick hike up from the Pyramid Island area, so off we went! Matthew, being the extreme gentleman that he is, gave Regina a lift up the steep parts. By getting just a little bit off the beaten path, we had the viewpoint to ourselves for some cuddles and a champagne pop!
The day ended by making our way to Patricia Lake just down the road, kicking off those shoes, and getting in the water for some intimate and playful moments. This was the perfect way to end their sweet elopement day and I hope that I have more couples in the future that are game to get in the water!
I hope you enjoy some of the sweet moments from this beautiful Jasper Park Lodge elopement.
Let me help craft an intentional and stress-free wedding experience while I document the story of your day.
Thank you so much!
